The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer projects from the initial request through to final delivery. Projects typically run 2 to 9 months and range from simple cables to fully assembled, state-of-the-art systems with fully tailored I/O for groundbreaking quantum computing applications. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure every project is delivered on time, well documented and in line with customer expectations. This role combines overview and structure with hands-on coordination and offers the opportunity to directly shape how projects flow through our organization.

About Delft Circuits

At Delft Circuits, we build the cryogenic I/O infrastructure that enables the next generation of quantum computers. Our Cri/oFlex® technology replaces conventional cryogenic wiring with scalable, integrated superconducting flex circuits that improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability. We design, develop and manufacture our products in-house and serve customers all over the world. As our customer base and product portfolio grow, project management plays a crucial role in keeping complex, multidisciplinary projects on track from request to delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Project Management & Project Flow

  • Manage the full project cycle, from the customer’s request until the final product is delivered
  • Ensure designs are finalized, documented and handed over to manufacturing (design freeze & handover)
  • Act as the liaison between the design team, manufacturing and procurement to ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee project timelines, monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate the delivery of finished products to customers, managing logistics and expectations
  • Coordinate procurement tasks with the Supply Chain Coordinator
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and support them with administrative tasks to ensure smooth project execution

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain and update project data in our ERP/CRM system (Odoo), keeping it clean and well-organized
  • Keep reporting dashboards up to date, providing transparency on project progress
  • Archive completed projects in a structured and accessible way
  • Keep track of project budgets and report to the budget holder

Continuous Improvement

  • Set up and continuously improve the project flow process
  • Create universal templates for all project flow steps
  • Analyze repeat orders to help standardize the product portfolio

What success looks like

Within your first year, you will:

  • Deliver customer projects on time, within scope and budget, and in line with customer expectations
  • Establish a clear, standardized project flow with templates for every step
  • Ensure on time and well-documented handovers from design to manufacturing
  • Keep our ERP system and the reporting dashboards accurate, giving full transparency on project status
  • Contribute to a more standardized product portfolio through the analysis of repeat orders

What you bring

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in project management
  • Experience working with ERP/CRM systems, preferably Odoo
  • Skilled in using project management tools such as Gantt charts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A meticulous and organized way of working; you thrive in maintaining order in systems
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate across teams and ensure on time project handovers
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is not strictly required but would be a benefit

Bonus points for

  • Experience in the high-tech industry (e.g., test and measurement, telecom, semiconductors, or similar)
  • General understanding of electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • Experience with setting up and standardizing project processes and templates

Personal Attributes

You take pride in keeping systems clean and organized, and you are a natural multitasker who enjoys managing many projects at once. You are a proactive problem solver who facilitates the work of engineers, making sure they have everything they need to excel. You keep the overview of the full project while maintaining a strong eye for detail.

Why join Delft Circuits?

You’ll join a multidisciplinary, international team building hardware at the forefront of quantum technology. We design, manufacture, and validate our products entirely in-house, allowing you to see projects move from customer request to production and delivery. You’ll work in a collaborative and innovative environment where structure, ownership, and teamwork are valued, contributing directly to the infrastructure enabling scalable quantum computing, and where you will find:

  • A 1-year contract with intention to extend to a permanent contract
  • Fulltime position (36 hours per week)
